Are uPVC doors insulated?

uPVC doors offer quality insulation and draft proofing, helping to keep warm air inside and cold air outside.  This will save you money on your heating bills as heated air will remain in the house, so the heating doesn’t need to be on as much.

UPVC doors are constructed with layers of insulating material sandwiched between the outer UPVC casing.  This gives them excellent thermal properties that help regulate the temperature in your home.  In addition to the doors themselves, the frame also provides excellent draught proofing.

By being perfectly fitted to the door, and featuring a rubber gasket that seals any gaps, the whole system of the door is an excellent barrier.

Different types of doors will have slightly different levels of insulating performance depending on whether they include a glazed panel, however all will be superior to a traditional wooden door.
