How many points does the lock have?

This varies from one door lock to another.  The most basic front doors now have just 3 points locking but, whilst they only have those 3, they are highly efficient and secure that they perform better than some older 5-point locks.

The lock itself is just one aspect of the additional security that a new front door can offer to your home.  A multipoint locking mechanism holds the door in place firmly and is very difficult to bypass.  It combines with the frame to provide a solid barrier that will eliminate draughts.
