Can I fit double glazing in a flat?

You may need to apply for planning permission to fit new UPVC windows, including double glazing, in your flat, as this can affect the look of the wider building.

In many modern apartment blocks, double glazing will have been fitted during the construction process, and any replacement may be complex and require the consent of the developers or property management company.
